Business Analysis Summary

Use the Summary tab to quickly view daily key business data next to the system's forecasts and decisions, helping you know what the system knows. Use the links to management pages to drill into more detail and, if needed, change forecasts and decisions, ensuring the system knows what you know.

Reviewing and Changing the Data on the Summary Tab

Based on availability, select to limit the data that displays:
- If you set up Inventory Groups, select one to limit the displayed Room Classes.
- Click Remove Excluded Segments to exclude business from specific market segments. It's available if you defined those market segments in Manage Property Information. If you use Inventory Groups, you must select the Property level.
Change the displayed period, as needed. See the Business Analysis Overview to learn how to use the period filter.
Click the filter to select specific, as needed:
- To focus only on certain days of the week, clear the selection for the days that you do not want to view. For example, to view only weekends, clear the selection for Monday to Thursday.
- Select OF % to apply a heat map to the Occupancy Forecast percentages row in the table. You can customize the colors and occupancy range, see Heat Map.
- Click Apply.
  
  The selected heat map displays. Days that you do not want displayed are grayed out, with inactive hyperlinks.
Click the export icon to export the details displayed in the summary table to a spreadsheet.

Interacting with the Graph

Point to a line or dots on the line to view the corresponding values, for example the number of rooms On Books or the Capacity.
Click an item in the legend to hide the item from the graph. Click again to restore it.

To drill down deeper, use one of the other tabs on the Business Analysis dashboard or click a link in the table to access the relevant management page, like Demand and Wash Management.

Data	Description
Daily Status	Displays conditions that impact performance like Special Events, Exceptions, Notifications, and the Price related icons, if any are active for that date. All icons function as links to other screens. See Icon Details below.
LRV	The Last Room Value for the Master Class The Room Class for which a value displays if there is only space to show one. For example, the price on the Summary tab of the Business Analysis Dashboard.. To see the LRV for other Room Classes, click the magnifying glass icon next to the date to open the Daily Decisions window, and select the Daily Overview tab. For Inventory Groups, the Last Room Value is for the Base Room Class of the selected Inventory Group.
BAR	The final pricing decision for the Master Class, displayed as the Rate Plan name and the rate. Point to the value to see the pricing decision for each room type in the Master Class. To see the pricing decision for other Room Classes and other details, click the value to go to the equivalent date on the Pricing Management page. An icon next to the value indicates an active pricing override. See Icon Details below. For Inventory Groups, BAR is the final pricing decision for the Base Room Class of the selected Inventory Group.
OVBK	The property level Overbooking decision for the date. An icon next to the value indicates an active overbooking override either on the property or room type level. Click the value to go to the equivalent date on the Overbooking Management page. To see the overbooking decision by room type without leaving the dashboard, click the details icon next to the date to open the Daily Decisions window, and select the Daily Overview tab.
On Books	The occupancy on books, expressed as the number of rooms as of the System Date. If the monitored period includes past dates, the number refers to actual occupancy as well. If groups are included, the number uses their blocked number of rooms, not their pick-up For Groups, for example in Group Wash by Group, the number of rooms for which there are reservations against the group block in the property's reservation system (the system that provides the data to G3 RMS)..
RD	The amount of system unconstrained remaining demand for the date or the user unconstrained remaining demand if the system value is overridden. Click the value to go to the equivalent date on the Demand and Wash Management page to view the remaining demand by Forecast Group.
Group	The total number of group rooms blocked for the date.
Wash %	The property level system Wash % for the date, or the User Wash % if the system value is overridden. Wash is the drop in occupancy due to cancellations, no-shows, group cut-offs, and so on. For future dates, it is the expected drop in Peak Demand Peak, or Total Demand, is the combination of the rooms on books and the remaining unconstrained demand.. For past dates, it is the expected wash as of the last optimization. For example, for yesterday the last optimization was at 1 pm when the system expected 4 rooms wash out of 40 rooms on books. Final Wash shows as 10%. Click the value to go to the equivalent date on the Demand and Wash Management page to view the Wash by Forecast Group.
OF	The constrained Occupancy Forecast The number of rooms (or percentage of the total number of rooms) that G3 RMS expects the property to achieve for the period. For the calculation, see the Demand and Wash - Overview topic (under Data Details). for the date, expressed as a specific number of rooms.
OOO	The Out of Order rooms for the date. If a value is highlighted in orange, an Out of Order Override exists for that date. If you export the dashboard to Excel, an Out of Order value with an override has an "O" next to it.
RevPAR Revenue Per Available Room. The total room revenue divided by the total number of rooms (capacity). For the capacity definition, see the At a Glance - RevPAR topic (under Data Details).	The Revenue per Available Room on books for the date.
ADR Average Daily Rate. Room revenue divided by the number of rooms of occupancy.	The Average Daily Rate on-books for the date.
OF %	The constrained Occupancy Forecast The number of rooms (or percentage of the total number of rooms) that G3 RMS expects the property to achieve for the period. For the calculation, see the Demand and Wash - Overview topic (under Data Details). percentage for the date, expressed as a percentage of rooms. Click the value to go to the equivalent date on the Demand and Wash Management page.
Effective Capacity	The physical capacity of your property minus out of order rooms.
Ceiling	The maximum unqualified Rate Plan value that G3 RMS can select in the optimization. This is the highest value from the Rate Plan setup, unless you have constrained the highest BAR option through a Price Strategy or a Ceiling Override. A Specific pricing override is not considered. If you have more than one Room Class, this value represents the highest priced room type of the Master Class. For Inventory Groups, the value represents the highest priced room type of the Base Room Class for the selected Inventory Group.
Floor	The minimum unqualified Rate Plan value that G3 RMS can select in the optimization. This is the lowest value from the Rate Plan setup, unless you have constrained the lowest BAR option through a Price Strategy or a Floor Override. A Specific pricing override is not considered. If you have more than one Room Class, this value represents the lowest priced room type of the Master Class. For Inventory Groups, the value represents the lowest priced room type of the Base Room Class for the selected Inventory Group.

Icons in the Table

Point or click to an icon in a table to view a description. Click the icon or a link to go to the related page.

Icon	Description
	Click to display the Daily Decisions window. Use the tabs either to view the details about the pricing decision or to get an overview of all decisions by Room Class and Room Type. Select the Default View checkbox in the tab that you want to display first when the Daily Decisions window opens. Click Previous and Next buttons to view data for surrounding dates.
	Click and select to go to the Pricing or Forecast Investigator to understand their key inputs.
or	Display Notes. Click to enter a new note or display any notes entered for the date, along with the module for which the note was entered and who entered the note. The icon with the check mark indicates a note has been saved for the date. The Updated On date and time information is recorded in the property time zone.
	One or more Special Events that impact the forecast exist for the date. Point to the icon to display the events details. Click to view details about the Special Events Management page.
	One or more Special Events that are flagged as Informational Use Only exist for the date. Point to the icon to display the event details. Click to view details about the Special Events Management page.
	Overbooking Limit Override. See Overbooking Management for more information.

	Wash Override. See Group Wash By Group for more information.
	Group Occupancy Forecast Override. See Wash override types for more information.

	A Notification exists for the date. Click the icon to see the details.
	An Exception exists for the date. Click the icon to see the details.
	LRV Greater Than Price The Final Price (of BAR Best Available Rate. The lowest non-restricted product with flexible cancellation policy that anyone can book. G3 RMS optimizes the pricing of the BAR product. Other products, like Advanced Purchase or packages, can be linked to the BAR price.) for an arrival date and Room Class is restricted due to LRV. The relationship between BAR and LRV for the impacted day depends on whether you use BAR by Day or BAR by LOS pricing: BAR by LOS: BAR is restricted because G3 RMS went to the highest price point on the BAR pricing, and LRV is still higher. BAR by Day: BAR might be restricted on a day when the pricing decision is below LRV, as a result of stay-through demand. In BAR by Day pricing, the BAR decision for each day is used by both one-night stays and guests staying through that night. G3 RMS might select a BAR price that is below LRV for a single day to encourage more stay-through demand. For an example of these scenarios and more information about LRV, see Last Room Value (LRV).
	Price Restricted BAR is restricted by LRA (Last Room Availability) business or by business that is expected to cancel and rebook (if your property uses a Cancel/Rebook percentage). LRA: G3 RMS detected demand for LRA business that will book if BAR is available. The system sent controls that restrict both the availability of BAR and LRA business for the impacted Room Class and LOS. See LRA Options for more information. Cancel/Rebook: G3 RMS detected that some on-books reservations will cancel higher-value reservations to get a lower rate if available. The system sent controls that restrict the availability of BAR for the impacted Room Class and LOS to restrict this from happening.
	Price Impacted Price is impacted by LRA (Last Room Availability) business or business that is expected to cancel and rebook (if your property uses a Cancel/Rebook percentage). LRA: G3 RMS detected demand for LRA business that will book if your BAR is available. The system is informing you that lower-value LRA demand might displace higher-value BAR demand. See LRA Options for more information. Cancel/Rebook: G3 RMS detected that some on-books reservations will cancel higher-value reservations to get a lower rate. The system is informing you that you could experience revenue loss. See Optimization Settings for more information. Note: In this dashboard, you cannot see which Room Class is impacted. It might not be the same as the Master Class to which the pricing decision shown below the icon applies. To see the impacted Room Class, click the icon to go to Pricing Management.
