Business Analysis Performance
Use the Performance tab to view three charts with key performance data for a selected period:
These charts are nearly identical to those in the At a Glance Dashboard. See an overview of all Business Analysis tabs.

- Click
and then Business Analysis.
- Click the Performance tab. Performance charts display for the current month.

View by Inventory Group
If you set up Inventory Groups, you can select one to see the data only for its defined Room Classes. The default selection is Property, or all Room Classes. You can change the default selection in Preferences.
Remove Excluded Segments
Select the Remove Excluded Segments checkbox if you want the metrics to exclude business from specific market segments. This option is available if you defined the excluded market segments in Manage Property Information. And if you use Inventory Groups, you must select the Property level.

- Change the displayed period, as needed. See the Business Analysis Overview to learn how to use the period filter.
- Click a label in the legend to view or hide the associated bar or line graph.
- Point to a data point on the chart to view details.
- Hide lines or bars by clicking on their item in the legend.

Use this chart to see RevPAR Revenue Per Available Room. The total room revenue divided by the total number of rooms (capacity).
For the capacity definition, see the At a Glance - RevPAR topic (under Data Details). by occupancy day and how the RevPAR compares
with the same day of the week last year (not the same calendar date).
For past dates the RevPAR chart shows actual RevPAR for both this year and last year. For current or future dates, the chart shows the forecasted RevPAR for this year compared to the actual RevPAR for last year.
Use the RevPAR chart for an overview and drill down into the Occupancy and ADR details about the neighboring chart.

After monitoring RevPAR, you might want to drill into the Occupancy and ADR chart for a closer look at Average Daily Rates (ADRs) in relationship to occupancy. For example, the RevPAR for one day might be much better than last year, and you might want to know in which of the two metrics the change occurred.
Last year’s values are for the same day of the week, not the same calendar date.
- Bars represent the daily occupancy percentage values for the current and last year.
- The matching occupancy value axis displays on the left side.
- The horizontal line at the top indicates the hotel’s capacity.
- Lines represent ADR values.
- The matching ADR value axis displays on the right side.
- To view occupancy % only, click the ADR labels in the legend.
- Point to a desired date to view the occupancy percentage. Past dates show actual ADR and occupancy values for both this year and last year. Current or future dates show forecasted values for this year compared to the actual values for last year.
- To view ADR only, click the Occupancy % labels in the legend.

The Occupancy and Revenue chart shows you how much each type of business contributes to overall occupancy, how the business mix relates to total revenue, and how on-books values compare to their forecast.
- Bars represent the occupancy values, with the left bar showing the occupancy on-books and the right bar showing the forecasted occupancy.
- The variance between the two bars is the forecasted pick-up.
- The matching occupancy value axis displays on the left side.
- The top of the chart shows 100% capacity.
- Each occupancy bar is broken down by Property Business Views for single properties or Corporate Business Views for multiple properties.
- Click the filter icon
to select On Books or Forecast data for a specific Property Business View or Corporate Business View.
- The lines represent total room revenue on the books and total revenue forecasted, with the value axis on the right.
- Point to a data point to view specific data.
