Access SmartSpace
Once you have your credentials, you are ready to access SmartSpace. For new accounts, credentials are issued as part of your initial property setup and implementation.
Access Considerations
- SmartSpace sends you a temporary password. You have seven days to reset it or it expires. You can request a temporary password from the sign-in page, if needed, by clicking the Forgot Password? link.
- New passwords must meet the following criteria:
- Be at least 10 characters long.
- Have at least one digit (0-9).
- Have at least one upper-case letter (A-Z).
- Have at least one lower-case letter (a-z).
- Be different than the previous six passwords.
- If you enter your password incorrectly three times, your account locks. Contact your administrator to reactivate it.
- If you do not sign in for more than 90 days, your account will be deactivated. Contact your administrator to reactivate it.
- Your password expires at the end of the period determined by your administrator. You will be warned when your password is due to expire and forced to reset it if it reaches its expiration date.
- If you do not have access to any properties, the You have no access to any properties message appears after you sign in. Contact your administrator for correct property access.
- If you are the administrator and require assistance, contact Support.
System Requirements
We recommend a display with a minimum resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. Use the latest version of the following browsers:
- Microsoft Edge™ (don't use compatibility mode)
- Mozilla Firefox™
- Google Chrome™
Accessing SmartSpace
Signing In
- Open a web browser and go to the SmartSpace URL that you received. For best results, use Chrome.
- Enter your unique Username and Password.
- Select the Remember me checkbox if you want your current device to remember your sign-in information. Do not select this checkbox if you are on a public or shared computer.
- Click Login.
Signing Out
On the Actions menu, click Log off. Your current session ends and you are signed out of the system.
Managing Your Password
Resetting Your Password
- Enter your Username.
- Click the Forgot Password? link to request a temporary password and password reset details, which SmartSpace sends to the email address linked to your Username.
- Click OK when the confirmation message appears.
Changing Your Password
- Sign into SmartSpace.
- Click the Change Password link on the information bar. The Change Password page displays.
- Enter your updated password in the New password and Confirm new password fields. Make sure you consider the password criteria listed on the page.
- Click Change password.
The SmartSpace sign-in page appears for you to sign in using your new password.
Setting Your Default Property
If you have access to multiple properties, you can set the default property that you want to see in the Dashboard view when you sign in. The initial default property is the first property associated with your user account.
- On the Actions menu, click Preferences.
- In the Default Property list, select the property that you want to see when you sign in.
- Click Save.
The property that you selected will display the next time you sign into SmartSpace.
