Filters
Use the filters that appear above reports to refine the report results. Filter options that are specific to your business are imported from your Sales and Catering system The system that you use to manage the bookings for your function rooms. Also known as a diary management, or meetings and events reservation system. Examples include Delphi and Opera. (for example, your market segments). Filter selections reset to their defaults when you leave a page.
Steps to Use
- Click a filter button.
The selected filter window appears. - Make your filter selections. Not all filters are available for all reports. Use the Select all / none checkboxes to quickly include or exclude items.
Filter | Action |

Attendee Count | Select the checkboxes for the range of attendees to include in the data. |
Booking Type | Select the checkboxes for the booking types to include in the data. Define which booking types are included by default in Pre-Select Display Options under Database Setup. |
Event Month | Select the checkbox for at least one event month or select the checkboxes next to multiple months to compare month on month. The default selection is all months. |
Export Date | Click the arrows for the year and the months for which you want to view specific export dates. Select the checkboxes next to the export dates to include in the data. The dates available vary based on how frequently you imported data into SmartSpace. |
Event Days |
Select the checkboxes for the days which you want to see data. The default selection is all days. |
Event Year | Select the checkbox for at least one event year. Select the checkboxes next to multiple years to compare year on year or add multiple years together, depending on which tool you are using. The default selection is the current year on some pages and the last full year on others. |
Function Room | Select the checkboxes to view a subset of your function rooms. You can select one or more rooms. |
Lead Source | Select the checkboxes for the Lead Sources to include in the data. You can select one or more sources. |
Lead Time | Select the checkboxes for the lead time ranges to include in the data. When you select to Expand Date Range, the Lead Time groupings beyond 365 days are for months, not days. For example 12M-15M refers to the months after 365 days. |
Market Segment | Select the checkboxes for the market segments to include in the data. Define which market segments are included by default in Pre-Select Display Options under Database Setup. |
Meeting Class | Select the checkboxes for the meeting classes to include in the data. Define which meeting classes are included by default in Pre-Select Display Options under Database Setup. |
Revenue Streams |
Select the checkboxes for the sources of revenue to include in the data. For example, you might want to view how much demand you have for food and beverage, excluding revenue from room rental. When available, the Accommodation option isn't selected, by default. Note: This feature requires that revenues are placed into the appropriate revenue streams during import. For some properties, due to limitations with their Sales and Catering systems, this might not be feasible. |
Status |
All booking statuses from your Sales and Catering system are mapped to the following statuses during the initial SmartSpace implementation. Viewing all statuses helps you assess if you took the right business and to identify demand trends. With that information you can set the best possible demand and pricing strategies. To better convert business in the future, review which business is typically lost or canceled, how you could have won lost business, or avoided turning down business when you didn't fill all meeting space.

Team Member |
Select the checkboxes next to the team members whose bookings to include in the data. The names are imported from your Sales and Catering system and can't be changed here. Current and past system users are included by default. To set users to active or inactive, see Database Setup -Team Members. Note: This filter might not be available, depending on local privacy laws. |
- Click OK to save your changes and apply the filters.
