Arrivals by LOS Report

Use the Arrivals By LOS report to understand your property's length of stay distribution. Analyze the number of arrivals by length of stay for a period to find patterns and exceptions, for example, dates with lower-than-usual share of longer stays when you might change pricing.

Reporting Steps

  1. Click , then Reports, and then Arrivals By LOS.
  2. Select the Arrival Start Date and the Arrival End Date to define the monitored period:
    1. Click the default date.
    2. Complete one of the following options:
      • Enter a date in the Selection field.
      • Select Specific Date from the menu. On the calendar, click the single left or right arrows to navigate between months or the double arrows to navigate between years. Click the appropriate date in the calendar.
      • Select Rolling Date from the menu. Select the System Date or choose to offset the System Date by a defined number of days by selecting either System Date - or System Date +. Enter the number of days to offset the System Date in the Selection field.
    3. Click Apply.
  3. Select the As of Date using the same date selection method that you used to define the monitored period. The As of Date defines the capture date for the bookings and is a date in the past, from one year ago to the date of the last full optimization. For example, if you want to know the LOS distribution of the business that was on books a week ago, enter the date that is seven days prior to today.
  4. Select an LOS value for Summarize LOS equal/greater than. The report will summarize arrivals with a LOS equal to or greater than the selected value and show them as a percentage of the total arrivals.
  5. Select a Report Format:
    • Select On Screen to open the report in the lower pane.
    • Select Excel to save the report as an Excel spreadsheet.
  6. Click Generate.

Data Details

The report displays the following information:

Column Description
Arrival Date The arrival date from the selected period.
Day of Week The day of the week that corresponds to the Arrival Date.
Days to Arrival Days to Arrival. The number of days between the Arrival Date and the selected As of Date.
LOS The number of bookings for the Arrival Date for each Length of Stay.
Transient Arrivals The total number of transient arrivals for the date.
Group Arrivals The total number of group arrivals for the date.
Total Arrivals The total number of arrivals for the date.
LOS as a % of Total Arrivals The percentage of total arrivals for the Arrival Date that are equal to or larger than your selected LOS value.
