Function Space Guest Room Types

Function Space Guest Room Types help G3 RMS understand room types across systems. Use the setup page to map the sales and catering room types to the room types in G3 RMS.

It also allows G3 RMS to differentiate the group block information coming from the sales and catering system versus from the reservations system and align the group block information between the two systems. Additionally, the system uses the data to determine the percentage of group business using both guest rooms and function rooms versus only function rooms.

Setup Steps

1. Click and then Configuration.
2. Click Guest Room Type. All sales and catering room types display.
3. For each Sales and Catering Room Type, select a G3 RMS room type from the Map to RMS Room Type menu on the right.
4. Click Save.

Map All Guest Room Types

Sales and catering room types have a one-to-one match with G3 RMS room types. You must map a single sales and catering room type to a single G3 RMS room type.

You must map all sales and catering room types before you can run an evaluation. That includes starting an evaluation in your sales and catering system (like Delphi), if you subscribe to the integration with G3 RMS. If needed, the system alerts you that there is an Unassigned Function Space Room Type. If you remap room types, you can't run an evaluation until the next optimization completes.
