Function Space Adjust Evaluation Results

Use the Adjust Evaluation Results option when you negotiate with the group to test different scenarios without having to re-run the evaluation. For example, you can increase the food and beverage revenue to see how much that allows you to lower the guest room rates while maintaining the same profit.

Adjust Results Steps

  1. Click and then Evaluations.
  2. Click the Action menu for that saved evaluation that you want to view.
  3. Click Show Details. The Evaluation Details window displays.
  4. Click the Evaluation Results tab.
  5. Click Adjust Evaluation Results for the arrival date that you want to adjust.

Adjusting Results

  1. Select the Adjust checkbox for two revenue sources that you wish to change in relationship to each other.
  2. Change the Contractual Revenue: 
    • For Guest Room Rate and Function Space Rental, enter a new value.
    • For the other revenue streams, enter a new value or click and drag the slider.

    When you change one revenue stream, the second selected revenue stream adjusts automatically to compensate for revenue changes to the first to maintain the profit values.

  3. Review the Adjusted results in the left pane to understand how your adjustments impact the group data compared to the original results under System.
  4. Click Apply to accept the adjustments, or click Reset to revert the adjustments back to their original values.

The adjusted values display below User Adjusted in Evaluations Results. If you re-evaluate the group, G3 RMS overwrites your adjustments to the new system values, and you will need to modify and save them again.

Adjusting a Single Revenue Stream

G3 RMS allows you to select and adjust a single revenue stream. Adjusting a single stream allows you to understand the impact on the overall profitability. However, the group’s profit may not be the most optimal or it could be negative due to the adjustment.

You might use this adjustment method when you deliberately accept a group without the most optimal results. For example, you might expect other business in exchange for accepting the group, like a multi-year contract, or your corporate office might mandate accepting it. In this case, this feature allows you to measure the cost of accepting a group.

The following data displays. In the Adjusted column, you can view your adjusted revenue and profit values next to the System result for comparison.

Field Description
Guest Room Recommended Rate

The optimal guest room rate, considering both maximizing profits and the probability of the group accepting a specific rate. If you Adjust the Evaluation Results, the system's recommended rate and your changed rate display.

Function Space Rental

The optimal function room rental rate calculated by G3 RMS. This amount is the total for all days and for all the function rooms utilized. It is constrained by your Function Rooms Rate Configuration. In the case of combination rooms, the rate combines values from the MAR of the room's indivisible pieces. In the case of multiple rooms, G3 RMS calculates a weighted average based off the length of usage and the MAR for each function room used.

If you Adjust the Evaluation Results, the system's recommended and your changed rental values display.

Package Rates If you use Package Pricing, the recommended price for the selected package and for single and double occupancy.
Gross Revenue The sum of Function Space, Guest Rooms and Ancillary gross revenue. This value is the total revenue earned from the group for the selected stay date, before deducting revenue loss due to costs
Gross Profit The total gross profit that G3 RMS expects you to achieve by accepting the group for the arrival date, before considering displaced business.
Displaced Revenue The total revenue value of the business that G3 RMS expects the group to displace for the arrival date.
Displaced Profit The total profit that G3 RMS expects the group to displace for the arrival date.
Net Profit The Total Gross Profit minus the Total Displaced Profit.
