Data Details

All data uses only:

  • Indivisible Function Rooms that are set to Include Yes in the Function Room tab. Note that Function Rooms set to Yes can include revenue from Function Rooms set to No, see Display Revenue As.
  • Day Parts that are not checked as Exclude in the Day Parts tab of Configuration.
  • Event Types that are not checked as Out of Service.

Up to five years of data are available, the current and the two past and the two future years. The current year includes actual (past dates) and on books data (future dates). See Function Space Calculations for details on the utilization and efficiency metrics.

Function Space Utilization and Efficiency

The three charts display totals for the selected Analysis and Comparison years, broken out by Day of Week or Day Part. You can view a specific month or the full year.

Function Space Utilization

Shows the percentage of how much the available Function Space is used.

Revenue Producing Utilization Only

Same as Function Space Utilization, but excludes complimentary and house-use bookings that didn't generate revenues.

Function Space Efficiency

Shows the percentage of Function Space Utilization that generates revenues. In other words, the Revenue Producing Utilization divided by the total Function Space Utilization.

Utilization Details

Utilization by Week

Displays Function Space Utilization percentage by month and week for the selected year. Use the heat map to quickly detect patterns. Weeks are by days of a month, not day of week. For example, Week 1 includes the first seven days of a month. Week 5 includes the remaining days for the month and is empty if the month contains only 28 days.

Utilization by Room and Day Parts

Displays Function Space Utilization percentage for each of your indivisible Function Rooms and for the selected year. Point to the segment of a Function Room to see the utilization by Day Part. The Utilization percentages of all Function Rooms add up to the total utilization value in the center.

Revenue by Market Segment, Function Room, Revenue Stream

Displays the totals of the Conference & Banquet revenues by month and day of week. A heat map and a line graph help you understand how much each day of week contributed to the total revenue of the month.

Use the filters to display revenues for specific combinations of Market Segments, Function Rooms, and Conference & Banquet revenue streams.

Revenue Contribution by Market Segment, Day of Week and Revenue Stream

For a selected month and year, view the Conference & Banquet revenue contribution by market segment, day of week, and by revenue stream. Point to a segment to view the revenues by Day Part.

These graphs help you understand the monthly revenue totals of the previous table. For example, for last April's revenues, what was the distribution by market segment, day of week, and by revenue stream?
