Channel Forecast Dashboard

Use the Channel Forecast dashboard to understand channel costs and to better manage channels. After you import the channel costs, use the dashboard to view the expected amount of business and costs by channel and by month. G3 RMS forecasts a channel's business based on its past share of the total business.

The dashboard consists of six panels at the top and three graphs below:

Before you use the dashboard, ensure that your subscription includes it, that G3 RMS uses Continuous Pricing, is not on a Limited Data Build and not using Fiscal Calendar.

Data in Channel Forecast Dashboard

Note that your selection of Channels or Sources does not impact the six panels. It does apply to the two bottom graphs.

Net ADR Forecast

This panel displays the forecasted net ADR (excluding channel costs) for the selected months and days. Compare that to the forecasted gross ADR (including channel costs) at property level and for the same months and days. You can also view the percentage difference between the two values.

Net RevPAR Forecast

This panel displays the forecasted net RevPARClosed Revenue Per Available Room. The total room revenue divided by the total number of rooms (capacity). For the capacity definition, see the At a Glance - RevPAR topic (under Data Details). (excluding channel costs) of the selected months and days compared to the forecasted gross RevPAR (including channel costs) at property level and for the same months and days. You can also view the percentage difference between the two values.

Channel Cost Forecast

For the selected months and days, compare the channel costs of the forecasted business to last year's actual channel costs. You can also view the percentage change between the two values. G3 RMS uses the forecasted costs to calculate Net ADR and Net RevPAR.

Net Revenue Forecast

Best Practices

Use the Dashboard to Understand Channel Costs

The dashboard helps you learn how channel costs impact your key metrics, like RevPAR. This knowledge helps you make better decisions about which channels your property should work with and at what costs. Or use that understanding to improve your strategies about which promotions and offers are available on which channels.
