Budget and My Forecast

Use the optional Budget and My Forecast to compare G3 RMS metrics against your own budget and forecast data, for example, to see if the occupancy forecast is above or below the budget.

After you enable the modules on the Configuration tab (see steps), you can enter the Budget and My Forecast data. Then you can view that data in the At a Glance Summary and Business Analysis Data Details dashboards and in the Data Extraction report.

Note: Budget and My Forecast are for reporting purposes and don't impact the system's forecasts and decisions.

Setup Steps

  1. Click , then External Data, and then Budget and My Forecast.
  2. Select Yes for Enable Budget.
  3. In Define Budget At, select at which level you define budget data, Business Type or Business View.
  4. Optionally, type a Display Name if you want a name other than "Budget" to display in dashboards and reports with this data.
  5. Click Save.

After you save your selections in the Configuration tab, the Budget tab is enabled. See Budget Data to learn how to set up your budget data.

You must set up Property Business Views before you can enter your forecast data. Include all your market segments in Property Business Views for an accurate comparison between your forecast and other Property Business View metrics in reports and dashboards.

  1. Click , then External Data, and then Budget and My Forecast.
  2. Select Yes for Enable My Forecast.
  3. In Define My Forecast At, select at which level you define forecast data, Business Type or Business View.
  4. Optionally, type a Display Name if you want a name other than "My Forecast" to display in dashboards and reports with this data.
  5. Click Save.

After you save your selections in the Configuration tab, the My Forecast tab is enabled. See My Forecast Data to learn how to set up your forecast data.

Set the Enable Budget or Enable My Forecast switch to No to turn off the module.

When you turn off either module, any budget or forecast data that you entered is deleted from G3 RMS, and the data no longer displays in dashboards or reports.
