Pricing Management Details

The Pricing Management Details help you investigate the BAR pricing decision. Since G3 RMS optimizes by Room Class, use the Pricing Management Details to compare the remaining demand against remaining capacity by Room Class. For more details on how to investigate the pricing decision, see Investigator.

If your reservation system does not support different BAR decisions by Room Class, the Master Class determines the BAR decisions of all other Room Classes.

Management Steps

  1. Click and then Pricing Management.
  2. In the calendar view, adjust the filters to find the date to be reviewed. See Pricing Management Data for information about Pricing Management data views.
  3. Click the date to be reviewed. A yellow window opens.
  4. Click the details icon . Pricing Management Details displays.

Click the notes icon to view or add notes for the date. After you save a note, a new icon indicates that a note exists. Click the Excel icon to export the data to a spreadsheet.

Data Details

The following data is available on the Pricing Management Details screen:

Detail Description
Levels The level of data that is displayed, either for the property or Room Class.
Unqualified Remaining Demand The Remaining DemandClosed The remaining unconstrained demand for a date in the future. This value is either generated by G3 RMS or, in case of an active user demand override, the user override value plus or minus a possible system adjustment. G3 RMS adjusts a demand override according to the booking pace, so the override remains accurate after its implementation. for market segments that are set up as Unqualified.
Group Remaining Demand The Remaining Demand for market segments that are set up as Business Type Group.
Qualified Remaining Demand The Remaining Demand for market segments that are set up as Qualified.
Total Remaining Demand All Remaining Demand.
Available Capacity to Sell The total capacity, minus rooms on-books and Out of Order, and plus overbooking.
Occupancy On Books The number of rooms on-books, as of the System Date. For Group business, the number refers to the blocked number of rooms, not the pick-up.
Occupancy Actual Last Year The number of rooms achieved for the same day of the week last year.
Occupancy On Books, STLY The number of rooms on-books for the same day of the week last year and as of the same number of days to arrival (Same Time Last Year).
Last Room Value The LRV for each Room Class. In general, if Remaining Demand exceeds the remaining capacity, then the LRV restricts the excess demand.
